There were earlier concerns that 圎nviro might be broken by the upcoming Vulcan XP update, but apparently they're working with Laminar so there's hope some features may carry over. I have a pretty strong rig, but dense, overcast conditions in an environment like NYC or LA or BOS will drop me to the high-teens with FPS without something like 3jFSP-wizard. 30 FPS feels much smoother and more performant with ASXP+UWXP than 圎nviro even though the FPS counter says the same number. They're aware and apparently working on it. I vastly prefer ASXP+UWXP, which looks and behaves the closest to utterly real and wins the "looking out the window" challenge.Įven if you can manage good FPS (say, in the 30's), there is a sluggishness and stuttering with 圎nviro that is at times barely perceptible but real, and annoying. I personally don't like the look of the clouds at all. VERY immersive.Īlso, my preferred plane isn't librain compatible, but 圎nviro gives me window rain effects with my plane beautifully, the only add-on that does. I was shocked to land at an airport and see a winter wonderland and look up the real weather online and see it had started snowing there. Seasons (at least snow so far) are very accurately represented, even with ortho.

The skies and ground are just terrifically lit, plus lens flare and light-out effects of the sun. Lighting that absolutely changes the nature of the look of XP11. In the last few days there were various wind conditions in my area and they were depicted quite well in the sim, FSGRW creates many wind layers based on altitude. "I think 圎nviro does a few amazing things: It is obviously miles better than NOAA (which on XP 11.11 is now completely broken). "I'm daily driving ASXP+UWXP (Ultra Weather, which enhances visuals), but use 圎nviro as well occasionally.Īs far as 圎nviro, I'll paste a copy of a post on the subreddit recently to give you my impression:: Here's what I wrote recently about 圎nviro in another thread: Active Sky (ASXP) is just weather generation (no change in visuals) while 圎nviro does weather generation and visuals.
